CS2 Crosshair Color: Choose Contrast for Real Maps
Color is a visibility decision: test it against the scene where your current crosshair disappears.
Color Is a Scene Test
No color stays equally visible on every Counter-Strike 2 surface. Start with the color that is easiest to locate in your map pool, then check whether it disappears on pale walls, dark corners, smoke edges, or player models.
A One-Variable Comparison
Save your current code. In Settings -> Crosshair/Scopes, keep style, length, gap, thickness, and outline constant while changing color. Repeat the same four views. If one color wins on dark areas but fails on light ones, test a restrained outline rather than making the bars larger.
Legacy RGB References
Older command references may use cl_crosshaircolor 5 with RGB channel commands. Treat those as syntax references, not a guaranteed current menu mapping. The reliable record is the share code exported from the client after your test.
