How to Import a CS2 Crosshair Code
A simple import workflow for CS2 crosshair share codes, with checks for resolution, visibility, and saved backups.
The Fast Import Path
Use this route when you have a CSGO- share code from a database, a teammate, a pro settings page, or your own saved profile.
- Launch Counter-Strike 2.
- Click the settings gear.
- Open Crosshair/Scopes.
- Choose Share or Import.
- Paste the complete
CSGO-code. - Confirm the import.
The preview should update immediately. If it does not, copy the code again and make sure you did not include spaces, punctuation, or surrounding text.
When to Use Console Commands Instead
Use the developer console when you want to inspect or tune one value at a time. A share code is convenient, but it hides the parameters. After the September 2026 update, the current menu is the source of truth for length and thickness; older command references may use a different scale:
| Need | Command family |
|---|---|
| Make lines longer or shorter | cl_crosshairsize |
| Make the gap tighter or wider | cl_crosshairgap |
| Make lines thicker or thinner | cl_crosshairthickness |
| Add or remove a center dot | cl_crosshairdot |
| Add contrast around the lines | cl_crosshair_drawoutline and cl_crosshair_outlinethickness |
| Use a custom RGB color | cl_crosshaircolor 5 plus cl_crosshaircolor_r/g/b |
Verify the Imported Code
Do not judge a crosshair only from the menu preview. Run through this short test:
- Stand at medium range and check whether the crosshair covers the target head.
- Aim against bright walls, dark corners, and high-contrast map details.
- Fire a short spray to see whether movement or firing feedback distracts you.
- Switch to your real resolution and aspect ratio before making the final call.
Save Your Own Working Version
When you find a crosshair that works, save it in two forms:
- The
CSGO-share code if you used import. - A text note with the console values if you tuned commands manually.
That backup matters because third-party databases update player codes over time, and a future import might not match the setup you liked.
