CS2 Crosshair Zero Gap: Check the Center After the Update
Valve documented a zero-gap fix; this guide helps verify the visible center and isolate related settings.
Valve's Zero-Gap Note
Valve's September 23, 2026 update notes mention a fix for crosshair behavior when using zero gap. If you are troubleshooting a center that appears closed, compare the current client after the update before assuming an old code is malformed.
Diagnose the Visible Center
Save your current code. In Settings -> Crosshair/Scopes, check the selected style and gap preview. Then change only the gap slightly and compare the center against a distant target. Check whether line thickness, a dot, or an outline is making the opening appear filled.
If one style looks closed and another does not, record the style rather than assuming the code failed. Export the tested version. Use the gap reference for target-coverage decisions.
