CS2 Crosshair Resolution Settings: Test the Shape on Your Display
A practical resolution check for imported player snapshots and personal crosshair versions.
Why Your Screenshot Is Not the Whole Answer
An imported crosshair can be valid while looking different from a screenshot. Display resolution, aspect ratio, scaling, style, and contrast all affect how quickly you read the center. Valve's updated system also describes length and thickness in pixels that rescale when resolution changes.
Record Before You Compare
Write down your resolution and aspect ratio. Save the current share code. Import one candidate and compare it in the same practice area, with the same brightness and weapon. Do not compare a stretched setup with a native setup and call the code broken.
Keep a Personal Export
Once the shape works on your display, export the code from Crosshair/Scopes and label it with the date and resolution. A player snapshot is evidence of a source record; your export is the reproducible version for your own setup.
