CS2 Crosshair Update Checklist: Recheck Codes and Settings
Recheck the current menu, imported style, resolution, and personal export after a crosshair system change.
What to Recheck
After a CS2 update that changes crosshair behavior, confirm the selected style, length, thickness, gap, color, dot, and outline in Crosshair/Scopes. Valve's September 2026 notes introduced the new tab and describe pixel-based length/thickness behavior that rescales with resolution.
A Five-Step Audit
- Export your current code before changing it.
- Confirm the selected style in the updated client.
- Import any external code through Share or Import and inspect the preview.
- Test bright/dark backgrounds and target coverage at your normal resolution.
- Export a new personal code only when you have verified the result.
Do not declare a third-party snapshot broken only because it differs from an old image. Check the source date and whether the screenshot predates the update.
