CS2 Crosshair Code Not Working: Import and Preview Checklist
Separate import errors from valid codes that render differently after the crosshair system update.
First Check the Input
Confirm the complete string begins with CSGO-, has no spaces, and was pasted into Settings -> Crosshair/Scopes -> Share or Import. A console command line cannot be pasted into the share-code field.
If the Code Imports but Looks Wrong
Check the selected style, current resolution, aspect ratio, color, outline, and dot. The September 2026 update changed the crosshair system and introduced pixel-based length and thickness behavior, so an old screenshot is not enough to judge the import.
If the Center Is Hard to Read
Do not replace every setting at once. Test one change: length for target coverage, gap for center space, thickness for line visibility, or color/outline for contrast. Save the imported code before experimenting.
Use the import guide and testing routine next.
